UntiedShoes

Development Process

Below is overview of how your website will be developed, the stages you can expect and what will be expected from you. Although this development process is directed at a web site design and build, the basic principle applies to all of our projects.

Project review:

Objective: To clarify UntiedShoes* & Client requirements and obligations
Upon your initial contact, UntiedShoes* will review the project with you and clarify what is required from both parties, for example how content will be provided, by when and in what format & who primary contacts will be.

Project initial flat designs:

Objective: To approve a look & feel
Once UntiedShoes* has received the logo and any images to be used, we will produce a number of possible design concepts for you to review. Typically a design which covers the overall look of the website takes three cycles of revisions - e.g. the homepage and one or more sample content pages. Once the initial designs have been agreed, details are allowed to change, but the look will remain consistent.

Production of web pages:

Objective: To approve the functionality of the design.
The approved flat designs are next developed into web pages; you are able to view these in a test area over the Internet. At this stage, you can view the navigation elements etc and see how they work on the internet. Other areas that can be tested are speed, accessibility and compatibility of the web pages on other browsers.

Content Management:

Objective: To allow for the rapid development of content
Once the web pages have been developed into a series of templates, the content management system (If required) is used by UntiedShoes* and yourselves to start adding content to the website in a quick, user friendly manner over the Internet.

Web Site Launch:

Objective: Place a live version of the website on the internet.
This is the final stage of the development stage. Once the websites content and any additional features have been added and signed of, it's time for people and the search engines to see your new website. We go through your site one last time with you, we check, check and check again to make sure everything is perfect and then add the relevant title, descriptions and keywords to all pages for the search engines.

Once we are agreed that the site is fine to go live, we then we do so, submitting it to the major search engines at the same time.
